Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the REDX website and to purchases made through the REDX online store. By placing an order, you agree to the terms set out below.

Last updated: 20 August 2026

1. About REDX

RED X EBIKES (PTY) LTD
Registration number: 2026/238937/07
Republic of South Africa

In these Terms, “REDX”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to RED X EBIKES (PTY) LTD.

2. Products

REDX sells electric bicycles, parts, accessories and related products. We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications and pricing displayed on the website are accurate.

Product colours, finishes and appearance may vary slightly from images displayed online.

E-bike performance figures, including range and battery performance, may vary depending on factors such as rider weight, terrain, riding style, level of assistance, tyre pressure, weather and battery condition.

3. Orders

Orders may be placed through the REDX online store.

You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided when placing an order, including your contact and delivery information, is correct.

An order is subject to product availability and successful payment. REDX reserves the right to cancel an order where a product is unavailable, payment cannot be verified, incorrect information has been supplied or an obvious pricing or website error has occurred.

Where payment has already been received for an order that REDX cannot fulfil, the applicable amount will be refunded.

4. Pricing

All prices are displayed in South African rand (ZAR).

Delivery charges and any other applicable costs will be displayed or communicated before the order is completed.

REDX may change its prices at any time. A change in price will not affect an order that has already been accepted and paid for.

5. Payment

Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout.

Payments may be processed by REDX's bank or an approved third-party payment provider. These providers may apply their own security and verification procedures.

An order will only be treated as paid once payment has successfully cleared or has been confirmed by the relevant payment provider.

6. Stock availability

All products are subject to availability.

If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, REDX will contact you and provide the available options, which may include waiting for replacement stock, selecting an alternative product or receiving a refund.

7. Delivery

REDX delivers to locations that it is able to service within South Africa.

Delivery costs will be shown or communicated before your purchase is completed.

Any delivery timeframe provided is an estimate unless a specific delivery date has expressly been agreed.

Customers are responsible for providing the correct delivery address and ensuring that someone is available to receive the order where required.

Where collection is available or separately arranged, collection details will be confirmed directly with the customer.

8. Cancellations

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact REDX as soon as possible.

Orders that have not yet been dispatched may be cancelled where reasonably possible.

Where a statutory cooling-off right applies to an online transaction, REDX will honour the customer's rights in accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act and other applicable South African legislation.

9. Returns and refunds

REDX will comply with the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable South African consumer legislation in relation to defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.

Where goods fail to meet the standards required by the Consumer Protection Act, customers may be entitled to the remedies provided by law, including repair, replacement or refund where applicable.

Goods returned because of a defect may be inspected to determine the nature and cause of the problem.

Further return and refund procedures may be set out in REDX's separate Returns and Refunds Policy.

10. Warranty

REDX products remain subject to the statutory warranties and consumer protections provided by South African law.

Individual products may also carry an additional REDX or manufacturer warranty. Where applicable, the specific warranty period and conditions will be supplied with the product or communicated to the customer.

Additional warranties do not replace a consumer's statutory rights.

Damage resulting from accident, misuse, neglect, unauthorised modification, improper storage or failure to follow reasonable operating and maintenance instructions may not be covered by an additional warranty where permitted by law.

11. Safe use of REDX e-bikes

Customers are responsible for using REDX products safely and in accordance with the operating, charging, maintenance and safety instructions supplied with the product.

Riders are responsible for ensuring that their use of an e-bike complies with applicable South African laws, road rules and local restrictions.

Appropriate safety equipment should be used when riding.

12. Promotional and discount codes

REDX may issue promotional, discount or authorised sales codes from time to time.

Codes may be subject to specific conditions, including expiry dates, qualifying products and usage limits.

REDX may deactivate a code that has expired, been withdrawn or is being used incorrectly.

Any separate commission arrangement between REDX and an authorised sales agent is governed independently and does not affect the customer's purchase or consumer rights.

13. Website use

The REDX website may only be used for lawful purposes.

You may not attempt to interfere with the website, gain unauthorised access to its systems, introduce malicious software or use the website for fraudulent activity.

14. Intellectual property

The REDX name, branding, website content, photographs, graphics, videos and other original material are owned by or licensed to REDX unless otherwise stated.

This material may not be reproduced or commercially used without permission from REDX.

15. Personal information

REDX processes personal information in accordance with applicable South African data protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Personal information may be used where necessary to process orders, arrange delivery, communicate with customers, provide support, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.

Further information is available in our Privacy Policy.

16. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any consumer right or liability that may not legally be excluded under South African law.

REDX will not be responsible for loss or damage resulting from unlawful use, misuse, unauthorised modification or failure to follow reasonable safety and operating instructions, except where REDX remains liable under applicable law.

17. Governing law

These Terms and any purchase made through the REDX website are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising any right or remedy available under applicable South African consumer law.
