Red X E-bikes was founded in 2025 with one goal: to bring quality, affordable fat e-bikes to South Africa. We handpicked and refined a bike that could handle our roads, our terrain, and our lifestyle. Transport that finally makes sense for South Africa.
Why Red X?
South Africa has a transport problem. Petrol is expensive, traffic is a nightmare, and most e-bikes on the market are either overpriced, underpowered, or simply not built for our conditions.
We spent time researching what was available internationally and found a bike that ticked every box. We then refined it specifically for the South African market, upgrading components, testing it across different terrain, and making sure it could handle everything from Cape Town tarmac to Limpopo gravel roads.
The result is the Red X RX2 Pro. One bike, done right.

Every Red X e-Bike is a fat bike, specced to perform, built to last, and backed by people who genuinely care about your ride. Top quality components throughout, from the lithium-ion battery to the Shimano gears and DOT-4 hydraulic disc brakes.
There is virtually no maintenance required. Replacement brakes, brake pads, and tyres are all standard sizes and easily found at most local bicycle shops at a reasonable cost. This is a bike that works for you, not the other way around.
